Plastic bag shoes…

Plastic Shoe designs

These are really interesting shoes. Made out of joined together recycled polyethelyne plastic bags, designer Camila Labra has launched a range of waterproof footwear for women. It is named after Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, which was one of the first Asian cities to ban plastic bags in 2002. The lightweight shoes are lined with a pique padding on the inside, to make it more comfortable. And is retailed at US$45. I think the designs are very interesting and the idea of using recycled plastic is very helpful to the environment as well. It is a good idea. With such an idea, alot of designs can be applied onto it.

I’ve got a panda pet in a cube..

4 11 2008

Here’s a fun, unique, cute and interesting toy from Bandai, Japan! This is the Tuttuki Bako. It is an interactive game that works in a very interesting way. Put your finger in the hole at the side of the cube and your finger will appear in a digital form on the screen display. Then by moving your finger you can interactively play with the panda…. flick, swing, tickle… hmm… but I am not sure if you are able to squeeze/corner it to the wall to threaten its life when you’re angry..

There are also other modes you can choose: from pushing around a tiny littleperson, to ticking someone’s nose.

Each aspect of the hardware derives from an oriental inspiration which improves the PC experience for the targeted market. The hardware features a “No CPU, No Hard drive, No Graphics Card and No Sound Card” concept. These PC components are stored in a Service Provider of the new infrastructure.

Pricky Porcupine Pick

3 10 2008

[source:wordpress]

Here’s a cute concept of a toothpick holder made from silicone rubber. Interestingly pricky!

A fun item everyone would like to have in their home. However, when used to the last few pieces of toothpicks, it might not stay in the holder but rather slip out from it. Plus, you might want to place a custom made cover for it just in case dust and crawlies get on it.
